As always, the safety and well-being of our guests and team members remains our top priority. We are doing everything we can to ensure your travel safety, and provide maximum flexibility as the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve.

Dine in from Monday 3rd August – Updated as of July 31st, 2020

Our restaurant doors are open! Due to the Covid-19 pandemic government and W.H.O guidelines, we are currently operating with some additional practices to ensure the safety of our guests and staff:
  • If you or anyone in your household have had any symptoms of Covid-19 in the past 14 days - DO NOT ENTER; anyone showing signs will not be allowed entry.

  • Whilst enjoying your visit, please maintain social distancing at all times from other guests that are NOT part of your group. We have reduced capacity and created socially distanced areas and a queuing system for our toilets.

  • Booking is advised and booking times must be adhered to, to ensure capacity is maintained.

  • Please use hand sanitiser provided before entering the building and toilets.

  • Food and drink will be served to a service table.

  • Please use contactless card payments when possible. We can also charge food and drinks to your tab on your room bill.

  • Please maintain a 2 metre distance with guests and staff at all times.

Welcome Back! – Updated as of July 9th, 2020

We cannot wait to welcome you back through the doors of The Penrallt Hotel after our temporary closure. We will, of course, be following strict government guidelines and will need your help in adhering to these rules for the health and safety of all.
Reservations are now available from 21st July.
  • Free Cancellations. Rest assured that if your stay is unable to go ahead due to Covid-19, your booking can be changed without charge. reservations are fully refundable if government restrictions are back in place.
  • Maid Service. During Covid-19 our rooms will not be serviced daily, however we can provide fresh towels and other hospitality items on request daily.

We sincerely hope that our restaurant will be opening from the 3rd August – dependant on Welsh Assembly Government updates. In the meantime, breakfast and other dining options can be served to your room. We are also offering a selection of menus for takeaway service.

Hotel Tempory Closure – Updated as of March 20th, 2020

In light of the government directive, our doors temporarily closed Friday 20th March at 9pm. Our enduring commitment to the health and safety of our employees, guests and surrounding communities will continue as before.
As well as this, we will be postponing any up-coming events until further notice. If you have booked to come to any of our events please know that these are not cancelled, but have been purely put on hold.
We'd just like to take this opportunity to thank the local support, and if there is anything we can do to support anyone locally, then please get in touch. We are all in this together. Please take care of yourselves, your loved ones and our community. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Your Travel Flexibility – Updated as of March 17th, 2020

We remain committed to offering you flexible booking options. Given these unique circumstances we are making additional adjustments to our individual booking policies to give you extra peace of mind:

  • Existing Reservations. All reservations – even those described as non-cancellable that are scheduled for arrival before April 30, 2020 can be changed at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.
  • New Reservations. Any reservation you make – even those described as “non-cancellable” that are booked between today and April 30, 2020 for any future arrival date, can be changed at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.

Health and Hygiene – Updated as of March 09th, 2020

We take immense pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures developed in consultation with global and local public health authorities (including the WHO and CDC) to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous:

  • Our hotel teams are receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operating protocols.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including lobbies, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.) and have continued the use of disinfectant.
  • We will continue to adjust food and beverage service in accordance with current food safety recommendations.
  • We have increased the deployment of hand sanitizers.
