Penrallt's very first vegan night!

The Penrallt proudly hosted their very first vegan night which resulted in a fully-booked restaurant! Our un-missable 6-course taster menu went down a treat with our fellow vegan lovers.

The night started off with an appetizing amuse bouche of pea and olive oil soup with garden herbs. For the first course, a beetroot variation was served with almond cream mousse. The second course consisted of glazed king oyster mushroom with micro coriander and sweetcorn puree.

Course three was a delicious confit butternut, smooth butternut puree, kale, burnt onion and fresh rocket. For the fourth course a polenta terrine of aubergine was served with sunblush tomato, caramelised garlic, micro red basil and smoked Halen Mon.

Guest Review from Rebecca De Winter:

"I attended the Vegan night last night and I cannot praise the food more highly. I have been a vegan for 15 years, so my palette is somewhat different from non vwgans. Each course complimented the other perfectly! Each flavour exquisite! Plus the artistry was beautiful. I look forward to a future vegan night with you. Many thanks for a wonderful evening."

To finish the night on a sweet note, a scrumptious chickpea meringue was served with blackberry gel, mango puree and mango sorbet.

With the event going down a treat, a future vegan night will be planned in our Penrallt calendar, so keep your eyes peeled!
